Also, when you list one of the firearms; single-action, repeating rifle, single-shot rifle, etc. Add what spec they are well known for. For example: accuracy, performance, etc.
Want to Experience the Old West? Visit a Dude Ranch
Caterina Christakos wrote:
Even with all the great things about modern American life, there is something sad about the fact that the Old West is gone and never coming back. All those wide-open spaces have now been bought up and fenced in-and most property owners don’t take too kindly to outsiders venturing onto their property-so it’s no longer possible to ride freely across the great American landscape. If you want to experience the Old West, you pretty much have to own a huge chunk of land, and not many people get to do that.
That’s why dude ranches were created. The frontier may be long gone, but there are many business-savvy ranchers who realize that Americans’ adventurous spirit is alive and well.
Today, visiting a dude ranch is the perfect way to get away from it all while enriching your body and mind, participating in ranch activities, and learning about the great American West.
History of dude ranches
The first dude ranches were established in the late 1800s as places for rich city people to escape from everyday life while hunting, fishing, riding, and enjoying the wilderness. In the early days, guests on a dude ranch got meals and a place to stay, but they were generally left to do as they pleased during the day.
As the 20th century progressed, dude ranches started to gain popularity, eventually becoming major sources of cash for ranchers throughout the west. Today, there are all kinds of dude ranches in the U.S. and the phenomenon has spread to other countries, especially Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Types of dude ranches
There are three main types of dude ranches:
1. Working ranch: These are ranches where people actually do cattle operations. In many cases, they are simply real working ranches that happen to allow a few guests to come and stay during certain times of the year. If you want to stay at one of these ranches, it’s best if you know how to ride, and it’s great if you have some ranch know-how. In short, these ranches are for people who find a little bit of ranch work to be pleasurable, so be prepared to get dirty and feel tired at the end of the day.
2. Basic dude ranch: At a basic dude ranch, the emphasis tends to be on teaching ordinary people the basics of ranch life. For example, you’ll learn how to ride a horse, and you may even learn basic tasks like lassoing and cattle herding. The experience at these dude ranches is less intensive that at a working ranch, and guests generally are free to participate only to the extent that they wish.
3. Resort dude ranches: A resort dude ranch is exactly what it sounds like-a basic dude ranch experience combined with luxury accommodations. You get top-notch food, huge gourmet meals, and even things like massages, spas, and other high-class amenities. And of course, in between these luxury things, you can learn and take part in ranch activities.

You see in old movies that they drink stuff that looks really potent – some movies even joke that it burns a whole in the bar if it’s spilt. I’m sure the whiskey they drank back then was completely different to the stuff we drink now – but I want to know in what way it was different.

Living In The Wild Wild West

For adding warmth and coziness to your home, nothing beats western furnishings and decor.
Western style decor can be used in any area of the country, and has grown in popularity in recent years. This style of decor offers down-home appeal and comfort, and is welcoming to anyone who enters your home.
Some of the pieces used in western style decor are rugged and rough, though certainly not all pieces need to be. Some people use old pieces such as wagon wheels and old saws to decorate their walls. If this is not for you, you can still decorate in western decor. There are many different ways to decorate using this style without feeling like you have old barnyard wood hanging on your walls!
Part of the charm of western decor is the colors that are used. These colors come from nature, such as deep greens, golds, reds and russets. Using these colors adds an abundance of charm and a feeling of warmth to your home. You can use these colors on your walls, rugs, pillows, and throws as well as in pictures, figurines, etc. If you really want to add some western flair, add some horseshoes here and there – this will really add to the homestead appeal!
Try using these colors in a throw or rug, for example. A striped pattern rug consisting of these colors is very striking when used in western decor. Wood accents painted with these colors are also beautiful, as well as pictures containing rich colors. Native American pictures, as well as mountain terrain and desert landscapes, along with cowboys and horses add a great amount of interest to western decor styled homes.
Using an abundance of rich wood items is essential in this type of decor. Wood floors are exceptionally beautiful when decorating your home with the western look, but if you don’t have them, use lots of rich colored throw rugs – this adds even more to the cozy, inviting atmosphere. You can find wooden planters, wine racks, and dozens of other items to add to your western decor. There are endless selections of western type figurines, lamps, wooden-framed mirrors and furnishings to choose from. Try using a small Native American statue or a figurine featuring some wild horses. These add even more to the western theme and appeal of your home.
Use your imagination, and you can conjure up all types of ideas for giving your home the old-time appeal of the wild west!

I am a diehard cowboys fan but I think that all the teams that made the playoffs in the afc besides the titans are just about better than us. Our defense is a bit above average.
